What You'll Do

An interactive baking summer camp, empowering budding chefs with hands-on skills!

This cooking series helps your child become more creative and confident in the kitchen for ages 7-11. Over the course of four days, young chefs will explore the wonderful world of baking in a fun, friendly and safe kitchen environment. From decorating cakes to flipping crêpes and kneading dough, young chefs will explore a variety of delicious recipes. They will learn baking techniques, fundamental food preparation and safety measures in this summer cooking class. Each participant will also receive a printed menu and a graduation certificate to take home.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Great job controlling everything, but, baked potatoes were cold and the butter didn’t melt. We cooked the shrimp first and it sat until the end of the class. We thought the shrimp cocktail was going to be an appetizer. Over all it was a fun experience! I hope we get the recipes soon.
