Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Global Inspirations

Budding chefs explore global dishes in an interactive summer cooking series that covers cooking essentials.

Gift your budding chef the opportunity to discover globally-inspired cuisine in a cooking series created just for them. Over five days of summer cooking classes, participants ages 7-11 explore the herbs, spices and ingredients used by master chefs from around the world. They'll steam pork buns, knead pasta dough and make German schnitzel while unlocking the secrets to making cooking easier, safer and more fun. Each student takes home a graduation certificate and printed menu upon the course's completion.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Candy was so knowledgeable and helpful during the class! Her instructions were clear and she was able to explain the science behind macarons and meringue which helped me tremendously! I’ve never enjoyed the taste of macarons until I did this class, which made me realize macarons are delicious!

For $99 per person, we got pretty awful cuts of beef, didn’t really learn anything, and just kind of threw a whole bunch of ingredients together while the instructor practically made everything. It was kind of like a labor intensive dinner where you had to stand at a very low table to eat a meal in 20 minutes. Seems like a fun date night, and it was A fine experience overall, but skip this and spend $99 on An amazing steak dinner . A haphazard lesson about chopping herbs is not worth the money.
