Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Let's Bake!
Young chefs can learn to bake with a professional chef in this immersive summer series.
In this cooking series, the youngest chefs in your family will have tons of fun while learning to bake. Five days of summer cooking classes will see them delving into the art of baking as budding chefs ages 7 and up prepare light and flaky crêpes, knead yeasty dough, and bake, ice and decorate a scrumptious cake. A professional chef will cover basic culinary techniques, food prep, and essential kitchen safety practices. Participants take home fun, easy-to-follow printed recipes and a display-worthy graduation certificate upon completing the series.
Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Candy was so knowledgeable and helpful during the class! Her instructions were clear and she was able to explain the science behind macarons and meringue which helped me tremendously! I’ve never enjoyed the taste of macarons until I did this class, which made me realize macarons are delicious!

For $99 per person, we got pretty awful cuts of beef, didn’t really learn anything, and just kind of threw a whole bunch of ingredients together while the instructor practically made everything. It was kind of like a labor intensive dinner where you had to stand at a very low table to eat a meal in 20 minutes. Seems like a fun date night, and it was A fine experience overall, but skip this and spend $99 on An amazing steak dinner . A haphazard lesson about chopping herbs is not worth the money.
