Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Teens: Global Baking - Kirkland

What You’ll Do

Explore world cuisine through delicious fresh baked goods.

This hands-on cooking series is all about the budding baker. These five summer cooking classes are designed for kids ages 12 and up and led by an expert chef instructor. They'll learn essential baking skills and techniques while learning how to make delicious treats from around the world. Mastering the art of making dough and batter from scratch, they'll make bread and cakes using fresh ingredients. Plus, the last day features a fun mystery challenge to make a meal from scratch. Students will improve their confidence in the kitchen.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

The Thai dinner. Learned to crush lemon grass when using it. Learned that I am working "too hard" when I'm chopping veggies. Enjoyable experience!
