This hands-on cooking class with Chef Aunt V is a study in traditional Mediterranean recipes that showcase vibrant and colorful ingredients, including chickpeas, tomatoes, green herbs and lemon.

Start by making bright red pepper hummus with garlic and olive oil. For the entrée, you'll prepare falafels using chickpeas, tahini sauce and fresh herbs and pair it with fresh pita bread and lentil soup made with finely chopped tomatoes, herbs, olive oil and lemon. For dessert, mix a creamy sorbet made with organic sugar.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I had a wonderful time with my 2 friends at our Italian cooking class on Friday night, August 1, with Chef Aunt V in Naperville. Our group of seven included two other couples in it that we didn’t know, but we all got along great and had a lot of fun. The kitchen set up worked well and was beautiful, very nice location for this. Chef Veronica is so knowledgeable and I learned so much from her teaching knife skills, hygiene, safety, buying produce, growing organically, as well as the detailed cooking of the three dishes that we made. It makes a huge difference to be at an in-person class instead of taking a zoom class with Cozymeal, which is what I did previously! The food we made was delicious & we got to take some home too. I will definitely take another class with Chef Aunt V in the future.
