Cooking Class - Modern Twists on Japanese Classics

Make your favorite Japanese dishes with fresh, modern twists.

Craft sushi and other Japanese classics with contemporary touches in this engaging sushi-making class with Chef Mary. Learn techniques that include slicing and dicing fresh seafood and vegetables, rolling sushi and "frying" ice cream.

After first preparing Asian street corn salad, you'll make homemade wonton shells to serve as the base for modern sushi tacos filled with seafood and piled with seasoned rice and fresh vegetables. Whip up classic shrimp tempura, avocado rolls and a variety of dipping sauces before Chef Mary teaches you how to make fried ice cream sprinkled with honey caramel butter.

Our sushi making experience was nothing short of spectacular. We learned about history of sushi, various types/styles, and a lot of the culture behind it. Mary was eager and excited to be our guide!
