Cooking Class - Classic Mexican Cuisine

Learn how to prepare traditional Mexican dishes with the help of Chef Jar.

Join Chef Jar for this hands-on cooking class centered around the zesty and vibrant flavors of Mexican cuisine. He will teach you the finer points of crafting a well-rounded Mexican meal, including making tortillas and salsa from scratch and traditional pork al pastor.

Begin class by preparing an avocado salsa verde, followed by a shrimp ceviche and crunchy plantain chips. For the main course, make tortillas by hand and cook up your pork al pastor. Then, pair it all with some red Mexican rice and black beans with tomatoes, lime and garlic on the side. Finish your meal with a mouthwatering churros dessert bar, complete with chocolate ganache, strawberry syrup, and toasted marshmallows.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Jar was amazing! We had so much fun. He was entertaining and the food was delicious! We learned techniques that we were intimidated to try like making tortillas and churros. He explained everything and made it seem so easy. He took his time with us and made the evening very special!
