Discover an elegant French menu that's perfect for impressing guests at your next dinner party.

In this hands-on cooking class with Chef Susie, you will learn how to prepare an elegant French dinner menu using fresh, high-quality ingredients and classic French recipes and culinary techniques.

Chef Susie will begin by teaching you how to prepare and beautifully present crudités featuring a variety of French cheeses. For the main course, you will learn how to gently poach and bake chicken breasts in a creamy vermouth sauce. For dessert, you'll make a classic French tarte tatin featuring tender apples in a deeply caramelized sauce.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Susie was most warm and welcoming. She made both of us and the other two participants feel right at home. She engaged us all in the meal preparation, sharing information throughout and ably fielding all questions. And, of course, capped off by a delicious French dinner. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Susie's “Elegant French Dinner Party” class was terrific! Intimidated by the time involved and the number of ingredients in Julia Child’s recipes, I have never attempted any French cooking, which I considered complicated and not worth the trouble. My evening with Chef Susie has changed all that. Susie demonstrated several dishes with just a few ingredients and easy to follow instructions. The results were delicious, including one of the best desserts I have ever eaten, the Tarte Tatin. The selections, including the Poached and Baked Chicken Blanc, were ones that I could create myself. A bonus was learning about the various processes used, such as poaching, along with a detailed lesson on how to "caramelize, not crystallize” the delicious dessert sauce. Susie was very patient answering all my questions, and telling some great anecdotes that enhanced the experience. Well done! Highly recommended!
