Cooking Class - French and Italian Fusion
French and Italian cuisine rely heavily on wine for cooking. Whether for deglazing a pan to make a sauce, simmering for hours to add flavor or a splash over fruit, wine is central to southern European fare.
The class starts with an asparagus risotto made with farro, then you'll move onto the entrée: chicken in a delicate sauce of mushrooms, shallots and prosecco accompanied by green beans prepared with wine, cheese and garlic. For dessert, learn how to poach pears in red wine, sugar and spices.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
