In this hands-on class with Chef Marquita, you will learn how to take Southern cuisine up a notch by adding new and exotic flavor profiles, and nontraditional cooking techniques.
Chef Marquita will begin by showing you how to cook pork shoulder in a Dutch oven on a classic bed of mirepoix instead of in the barbecue pit. You will also learn how to make a simple slaw elevated with ethnic seasonings to pair with Chef Marquita's Southern biscuits that are kneaded by hand and still only take minutes to make.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
