The tour with Elysia was great. We had a ton of fun and met nice people. Cozymeal's website does not reflect the current menu and should be updated. (we tipped her directly)

We got this for Christmas as an experience present, and everyone had a great time. Alaisha and Mo were great fun, and we enjoyed all the places we went and all the conversation. It was a fantastic day! Walking to all the different restaurants paired great with the restaurants, so that we had some time between each serving and also a little sight seeing.

FAQS ABOUT FOOD TOURS in Atlanta
How do food tours in Atlanta work?
From Southern comfort food to globally-inspired dishes from up-and-coming chefs, food tours in Atlanta offer a fun and delicious journey through the city’s diverse culinary landscape. Once you select your ideal foodie tour, simply choose your time and guest count at booking. Most tours last two to three hours and include four to six handpicked stops, offering exclusive tastings with no lines or waits. You’ll taste everything from Uruguayan empanadas and fried chicken to peach croissant waffles. Whether you’re exploring the historic streets of Inman Park, the vibrant scenes of Midtown, or the foodie hotspots of the Old Fourth Ward, each tour showcases the delicious flavors that make this city a culinary destination.
Do food tours accommodate vegetarians or other dietary needs?
If you’re a vegetarian or have other dietary needs, alternative options may be available on some tours. Eating tours are designed to be inclusive, and many guides are able to accommodate some dietary restrictions with advance notice, but it’s not guaranteed. Since each tour is curated to showcase the area’s vibrant flavors, from fried chicken and peach cobbler to fresh Southern vegetables, be sure to review the menu details on the Food Tour page to ensure the experience aligns with your dietary needs. If you have any questions or special requests, our Cozymeal concierge team is ready to help.
Are food tours family-friendly?
If you’re an adventurous eater, culinary tours are perfect for you. Many are family-friendly and offer a fun and flavorful way to explore the city’s dynamic food scene, but there are a few things to consider when deciding whether to bring children along. Most foodie tours last two to three hours and involve lots of standing and walking through neighborhoods like Midtown or the Old Fourth Ward – rain or shine. You’ll stop at four to six carefully selected spots, enjoying everything from Southern classics like fried chicken and mac and cheese sliders to local craft brews. If you have any concerns or special requests, our Cozymeal concierge team is happy to assist.
How much do food tours cost?
Whether you're exploring the Southern comfort food in the heart of Midtown or a refined tasting in Buckhead, the cost of foodie tours varies based on the size of your group and the unique experience you choose. Tour listings provide all the essential details, from the starting price per person and sample menu to the tour duration and an introduction to your expert guide. Most culinary tours begin at $59 per person and can exceed $100 per person for exclusive, high-end experiences. Once you select your preferred date and enter your guest count, pricing updates automatically. If you have any questions or need assistance, our Cozymeal concierge team is here to help.
Is there enough to eat on the tour?
Each tour takes you through four to six handpicked spots, from iconic Southern institutions to hidden gems in neighborhoods like Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, and Midtown. The area's best food tours are designed to satisfy your hunger as you indulge in the city’s diverse culinary scene. You’ll savor dishes that showcase Atlanta’s blend of Southern comfort food, international flavors, and innovative culinary creations, from crispy fried chicken to Uruguayan empanada and innovative peach croissant waffles. With expert guides sharing the history behind each dish, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable journey through the region's ever-evolving food culture.
What happens if there’s bad weather?
Food tours take place rain or shine. Unless your guide contacts you directly, your flavorful adventure will proceed as planned. While the weather is typically mild, pay attention to the forecast in case you need an umbrella or an extra layer. Whether you’re sampling fried chicken in Midtown or Uruguayan empanadas while taking in the street art along the Atlanta Beltline Trail, dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please refer to the specific tour page for cancellation details. Keep in mind that bookings made within 48 hours are non-refundable. For any questions or special requests, our helpful Cozymeal concierge team is here to assist.
How much do you tip the food tour guide?
When you book culinary tours in ATL, tipping your guide is appreciated but never required. The price you see online covers all the delicious tastings and expert service at each restaurant stop, allowing you to fully savor the flavors of the city. However, if your local guide enhances your experience with engaging stories about Atlanta’s rich food history and hidden culinary gems, a gratuity is a lovely way to show your gratitude. Consider a tip between 10% and 25% of the total tour price as a generous and appreciated gesture for exceptional service.
Are food tours worth it?
Whether you're visiting or call Atlanta home, if you love to eat, food tours are the perfect way to dive into the city’s amazing culinary scene. These fun food tours provide a flavorful exploration of the diverse cultures that have shaped the region, from classic Southern comfort food and barbecue to inventive international flavors. Whether you're planning a memorable date night, celebrating a special occasion, or organizing corporate team-building events, foodie tours deliver an unforgettable blend of history, delicious food, and local secrets that you'll want to share with friends and family. Discover hidden gems like family-owned restaurants, new bakeries, and award-winning eateries, each with its own unique story and delicious offerings.
