Cooking Class - Plant-Based Sushi

Learn the art of making colorful and creative sushi rolls using plant-based ingredients.

In this hands-on cooking class, join Chef Angela for a lesson in preparing maki sushi rolls with vegan ingredients that mimic the briny, umami flavors of the sea.

For a burst of spice and a dose of healthy probiotics, begin class by preparing homemade kimchi—a Korean-style fermented cabbage—along with classic sushi rice to serve as the base for your vegan spicy tuna rolls made with sunflower seeds. After the spicy tuna, create a delicious eggplant unagi roll with tofu and black sesame. For dessert, learn how to make dairy-free matcha ice cream.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I booked a Angela's plant-based sushi class for my boyfriend's birthday gift. We had a lot of fun and we will be eating the delicious leftovers all week. Angela is a great teacher, she gave us lots of helpful tips and ideas to adapt the recipes for different tastes. I would absolutely recommend this class for a gift, a date, or just a fun way to spend an afternoon.
