Explore the sweet earthy spices of contemporary Moroccan fare in this class with Chef John. on Chef John’s travel experiences.
This hands-on class will focus on the provocative culinary flavor fusion of Moroccan fare that Chef John discovered on travels to Morocco, and later refined at home.
First, Chef John will teach you how to grind your own spice blend, ras el hanout, then you'll make chicken bastilla, a layered pastry with savory chicken and crunchy almonds, and lamb tagine with apricots, dates and potatoes. For the grand finale, indulge your palate with a luscious Moroccan orange cake and tangy orange ice cream.
Guests are welcome to purchase wine or beer at the market or bring their own beverages.
