Whisk away to Italy by handcrafting elevated recipes with Chef Maryam.
Embark on an Italian culinary journey in this cooking class with Chef Maryam as you learn how to cook with the fresh flavors and traditional techniques of the region.
First, you'll combine tomatoes, fragrant basil, bocconcini — bite-sized fresh mozzarella — and more on toasted Italian bread for a classic bruschetta. Then, Chef Maryam will teach you the techniques you need to turn fresh ingredients into show-stopping dishes, including a buttery and lemony shrimp scampi followed by flank steak stuffed and rolled with sun-dried tomatoes. Finish with a classic dessert from Italy: Vanilla panna cotta.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a wonderful team-building session with Chef Maryam. Her home setting made this experience all the more lovely, as you get to see what a professional chef's home kitchen looks like! Chef Maryam's passion for cooking shines through her lesson and conversation, and her knowledge is incredible. She got everyone involved in the prepping and cooking process, and gave us insightful tips along the way to make home cooking easier and much, much tastier. And don't get me started on how delicious the 4-course meal was!

I attended the Elevated Italian Feast class for a team bonding activity, and it was such a delight to work with Chef Maryam. She is clearly passionate about food, cooking, and making a positive experience for her guests. I learned so many helpful tips and tricks too! Chef Maryam was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the entire cooking and dining experience into account when she was sharing her expertise with us, from choosing ingredients to preparing them to tips and tricks for making dinner parties as stress-free as possible. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in cooking, fine dining, and being an excellent host!

Chef Maryam grew up amid the enticing aroma of her father's spice business. Her fascination with cuisine was fostered at home, during her culinary education and through years spent in the food industry. She's held positions as sous chef and chef de parties at several high-end eateries in Vancouver. Now, Chef Maryam brings her record of excellence and her passion for teaching to an array of cooking classes designed for home chefs of all levels.
