Long recognized as one of Italy's premier dining regions, Tuscany developed its unique culinary traditions based on the idea of cucina provera — poor cooking. This ideology allows for preparing large amounts of food using straightforward, locally sourced ingredients. In this class, Chef Donal shows you how to dress up Tuscan cuisine into a stunning four-course meal.
You'll begin by preparing antipasti with salami and crostini, then start crafting a multilayered Florentine zuccotto for the dessert course. While the zuccotto sets, you'll try out hand-rolling pici pasta and prepare a traditional panzanella, or bread salad.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
