We had the pleasure of having this chef cook for us during our week-long retreat in Mexico, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Every single dish was exquisite. The colors on the plates were beautiful, and the flavors were incredible, so fresh, creative, and full of wonderful surprises. He has a real talent for transforming simple ingredients like cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli into absolutely delicious and refined meals. You could feel the passion and care in every bite. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented and inspired chef. I sincerely hope I’ll have the chance to enjoy his cuisine again one day. Muchas Gracias Jorge!

We booked Chef Jorge for a private dinner and honestly, it turned out to be such a special evening. From the start he was easy to communicate with, open to our wishes, and helped us choose a menu that fit perfectly for our group. On the day itself, everything felt smooth and relaxed. He arrived prepared, worked quietly and professionally, and the food was incredible. Every course looked beautiful and tasted even better. What we really appreciated was that we could fully enjoy our time with our guests while he handled everything in the kitchen. No stress, no mess, just a great atmosphere and amazing food. Our guests kept talking about the dinner afterwards, which says it all. We’d absolutely book him again and can truly recommend him if you want a special, restaurant-quality experience at home.

We had the pleasure of having this chef prepare our meals for our week-long retreat, and honestly, it was amazing. He is very attentive and really listens to what his clients want. His talent for flavors is truly incredible, every dish was right on point. Everything was “sur la coche,” as we say in Québec! I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for an exceptional and memorable culinary experience.

Chef Jorge Criado came to my home in Playa del Carmen while my sister was visiting, and it was such a beautiful experience. We wanted to learn how to make birria and tamales from scratch, and he delivered beyond expectations. We have specific dietary restrictions, so we needed alternative versions of both dishes — and Chef Jorge was incredibly accommodating and understanding. He didn’t just adjust the recipes; he thoughtfully explained the substitutions and the techniques behind them so we truly understood what we were doing. His teaching style is thorough, patient, and hands-on. We walked away not just with delicious food, but with real confidence to recreate everything on our own. The whole experience felt authentic, warm, and personalized. I would absolutely hire him again and highly recommend him to anyone wanting a meaningful, in-home culinary experience in Playa del Carmen.

Chef Jorge and his partner Alicia were amazing and very pleasant. Chef Jorge was very responsive from start to finish. From planning our menus to asking of any restrictions, he took every consideration into meal planning. His communication was great. Very professional and punctual. The cleanup after both days was also amazing, leaving us to fully enjoy our trip. Now, the food! The food was amazing. Great hearty breakfast our second day of the trip with great options and day 2 dinner was so tasty. Food was seasoned well and everyone enjoyed. We all would recommend Chef Jorge. Our only regret is that we didn’t have his services everyday on our trip. ????

Jorge was awesome! The food was flavorful, fresh, healthy, and beautiful! He made our Honeymoon dinner a very memorable one. I wish he had his own restaurant so I could visit it regularly! Five Stars!

We had an incredible experience with Chef Jorge! During our Playa del Carmen vacation, we had 4 dinners and a brunch prepared for us by Chef Jorge. He worked with us extensively in advance of our trip to propose menus, and customize them for food allergies. The menus were wonderfully varied to showcase a variety of cuisines, and to allow us to experience fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. Our meals were all delicious. Chef Jorge did a great job presenting the dishes to us, telling us about what inspired him, and showing his passion for his craft. Everything was wonderful, and we would definitely love to experience his cooking again!

Chef Jorge and his su chef Alicia were outstanding in every possible way. Every single meal was delicious, he was on time, communicated clearly, and was professional and friendly. He cooked for 5 adults, 2 children (7-10), and two toddlers. We shared what we were interested in and he planned and created the entire menu. One of the kids is very picky and Jorge was able to easily accommodate his needs. He even provided excellent recommendations for places to visit in the area. Not having to plan, shop, cook, and clean made the vacation much more enjoyable. Highly recommend Chef Jorge!

This is one of the best experiences I’ve had while staying in my air b and b in Playa del Carmen. Unfortunately when I got to rental for a private experience, I had hardly any kitchen amenities. Jorge was able to adapt quickly with the limited resources and created an amazing menu. The food was truly amazing and full of flavor. It was fun to be able to help out and learn new cooking skills. Our dinner with Chef Jorge was delicious from the Amuse-Bouche to the dessert. He was very accommodating for our gluten free guest. We enjoyed talking with Chef Jorge about his training and experiences in Europe. I would highly recommend Chef Jorge’s experience to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen.

Chef Jorge offers amazing Mexican cuisine experiences and they are so much fun.
