What You’ll Do

Celebrate the fresh, full flavors of Indian cuisine in this hands-on authentic cooking experience.

Indian cuisine is famous for its signature combination of powerful flavors and compelling textures, and this cooking class is the perfect way to experience Indian cooking firsthand. Join Chef Shovan and learn to craft an authentic Indian feast from scratch, using traditional techniques and fresh, flavorful ingredients. You'll create a menu that includes favorites like vegetable samosas and coconut shrimp curry, as well as dishes like Amritsari fish, which is a lightly battered fish packed with plenty of spice. For dessert, you'll make a wonderfully fragrant rosewater halwa.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chicken Tikka

With boneless chicken, whole Indian spices and yoghurt

With Basa fish, fried fish spice, gram flour, lemon juice and garlic

With shrimp, onion, desiccated coconut, milk, onion, curry leaves, basmati rice and green peas

With semolina, sugar, ghee, nuts and raisins

Chef Shovan was excellent. We purchased a private cooking class for my parents to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Chef Shovan was punctual and came fully prepared with all of the necessary ingredients. He was personable and skillful. My parents reported that it was a fabulous experience.

Amazing experience! Chef Shovan is friendly, polite and professional during the whole interaction. Shovan was a wealth of knowledge on his practice and incredibly friendly and wonderful to work with. Note that for our larger group of six people, Shovan did most of the work but explained everything to a tee. Would recommend for anyone who wants a deeper knowledge on how certain foods cook and work together

Shovan is an awesome chef and a wonderful humble teacher. His menus are very delicious and shares a lot of tips and cooking skills in his cooking classes. We had an amazing experience with the cooking session we had. Chef gave us a lot of insight about the food he was serving for the particular menu. Good Luck to the Chef!!
