Prepare to dive into Indian history and folklore as you brush up on your Indian cuisine knowledge and skills. Chef Sakshi will show you how to prepare three of India's favorite dishes as part of a classic meal.
First, you'll make potato patty chana chaat with chickpeas and sided by traditional Indian chutneys. The main course features chicken dum biryani with tender marinated chicken and perfectly fluffed basmati rice. For dessert, you'll learn how to make Chef Sakshi's gulab jamun, a syrup-soaked pastry dessert served with vanilla ice cream.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

As a child growing up in India, Chef Sakshi was always in her grandmother's kitchen, helping her cook up classic dishes and learning all about traditional Indian spices and cooking techniques. She found herself inspired by how food can tell a story and convey cultural ideas, and therefore bring people together. As head chef at her own Indian curry restaurant, she now continues to share her love and passion for Indian cuisine.
