Cooking Class - Vegan Indian Fare


This plant-based Indian menu is bursting with traditional flavor and wholesome ingredients.
Get ready for the feast of all-plant-based Indian fare that awaits you in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Mike.
First, make laccha and a fresh salad with onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. Then, learn to make a creamy mushroom and tofu curry with flavors reminiscent of butter chicken. Next, it's time to concoct a warm rice dish with coconut milk and spices, followed by parippu, a red lentil dal dish. Finally, end your delicious meal with almond burfi, a classic "fudge" with maple syrup and cardamom.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I booked this class for my boyfriend’s birthday and we both loved it so much! Chef Mike was incredibly warm and welcoming and he created such a lovely experience for the both of us. He is so professional and shared many great cooking tips and lots of cool stories from his impressive career. The food was to die for!! Every dish was so delicious and we can’t wait to recreate the dishes at home. My boyfriend is not normally a plant based eater, and he raved about the food. We were so impressed by the whole experience and highly recommend it to everyone who loves great food!!

Chef Mike was great! The food was great and we all learned a couple new things. He also had lots of interesting stories from his career as a chef.
Chef Mike has experience concocting a wide range of ethnic cuisines, including Thai, Indian and Ethiopian options. For the past five years, he has led a variety of cooking workshops, but his specialty lies in crafting ethnic plant-based dishes. Chef Mike has worked in corporate test kitchens for Walmart and Campbells, and he even worked as an on-call assistant to the chef of the Canadian Prime Minister. He is eager to impart his worldly knowledge unto aspiring chefs.
