This cooking class welcomes you into a beautiful stone-view home set high above Riomaggiore, where a local chef invites you to explore the traditions of Ligurian cooking. With panoramic views of the sea and surrounding olive groves, you will learn how to prepare delicate homemade gnocchi and fragrant Genovese pesto using classic methods that have been part of local Italian kitchens for generations.
Following step-by-step guidance, you will grind basil, pine nuts and Parmigiano Reggiano by hand, shape soft gnocchi from scratch and enjoy your freshly made dishes paired with regional wines. Your class concludes with a traditional Italian dessert such as tiramisù or another Italian sweet chosen for the season. This intimate experience offers a meaningful way to connect with Ligurian culture, learn authentic techniques and savor the culinary heritage of Cinque Terre.
This experience includes water, coffee and one bottle of wine for every three guests.
This class is suitable for ages 7+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

We loved the experience of learning to cook with Barbara. She spent a great amount of time instructing us on how to properly prepare the food. You could tell she had a strong passion for food and all the ingredients.

Our group had so much fun! The atmosphere was amazing and so fun to be in. The wine was delicious and the food was amazing. I can’t wait to try these recipes at home even though they will nowhere close to Barbara’s. If I come back to Italy I will definitely book another cooking class with her!

My granddaughter and I had the most delightful time learning to make ravioli, tagliatelle pasta, and tiramisu from Giulia! Giulia is an excellent teacher, very encouraging of our efforts to follow her instructions, and we enjoyed a delightful lunch of all the delicious Italian foods we made! We strongly encourage others to book this experience. Very much worth your time.

We had the most amazing time cooking with Giulia! Her preparation was excellent, her explanations (in very good English) were very clear, and we had lots of fun! I really recommend doing the cooking class with Giulia! It was one of the highlights of our month in Italy!

We did a ravioli class and it was so much fun. I’ve never made pasta before but she broke it down into several easy steps. She also explained different options for the stuffing. She showed us how to make two different sauces to use with the ravioli and they were both delicious. At the end we enjoyed all of the hard work with a glass of wine. I would highly recommend this class

Perfetto!! The food, the hosts, the setting, the instruction, the dogs, the house…it was all magnificent! I can’t describe all of the different points of perfection, so I will just say that we would do it again, it was worth the money, and it was a top moment of our entire trip (which spanned 2 weeks in 4 different countries).

Gulia welcomed us with open arms into her home which super easy to find! It was our first time to Italy along with making pasta. Wine, fun and yummy food was had on my next trip I will be booking another class!

My wife and I I had an amazing time with Giulia in Riomaggiore learning to make delicious ravioli, tagliatelle and of course tiramisu. Highly recommend not eating breakfast or anything else before you go…you will want to eat everything made with Giulia.
