Cooking Class - Taste of Thailand Favorites

Learn time-honored cooking tips to prepare five different Thai cuisine recipes from scratch.

Bring new flavors to your home kitchen with a hands-on cooking class that showcases the color and fragrance of Thailand. Chef Vinutha will lead you through the preparation of authentic Thai recipes and techniques, like wok-based cooking and jasmine rice preparation.

Start with rice paper spring rolls filled with cabbage, carrots, Thai basil and rice vermicelli, and make homemade red curry paste and peanut sauce with coconut milk. Then, learn how to expertly cook up a Thai red curry dish with pumpkin, peppers, Asian greens and more. Mangoes and sweet sticky rice come together for a sweet dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Vinutha's class was a wonderful experience. She is an excellent teacher with a warm and enthusiastic demeanor who clearly understands the science behind the food, which makes for an insightful and interesting evening. I highly recommend this class to anyone.

The food was amazing, Chef Vinutha was very good at teaching us what to do and even gave ideas and tips as to what else to add to the meals for different flavours. Definitely recommend!

It was fantastic, I really appreciated how she not only was very helpful with her instructions but also about detailing how to substitute and the pros and cons of doing so. Additionally her knowledge of the ingredients, what else they can be used for and the science of cooking, why we do what we do changed my outlook on cooking I feel like I'm going to be more mindful from now on. The kitchen was nice and she helped facilitate a casual and approachable environment with the others.
