Cooking Class - Mastery of Vegan Thai Cooking

Learn how to give your Thai takeout favorites a vegan makeover with Chef Mike.

Thai food is renowned for its balance of sweet, salty and sour flavors. In this interactive cooking class, Chef Mike will teach you how to create plant-based versions of popular Thai dishes.

Begin the class with a refreshing green mango salad dressed with lime and cilantro. Next, you will learn how to make a simple tofu pad Thai with vegetables along with a creamy hot and sour coconut lemongrass soup. End your experience with toasted coconut and mango chia pudding, a fruity treat perfect for enjoying any time of day.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Mike is excellent and very entertaining. The people who signed up and joined us were very nice as well. It was an excellent night with amazing food. The food was so good I wish there were leftovers to take home!

Chef Mike has experience concocting a wide range of ethnic cuisines, including Thai, Indian and Ethiopian options. For the past five years, he has led a variety of cooking workshops, but his specialty lies in crafting ethnic plant-based dishes. Chef Mike has worked in corporate test kitchens for Walmart and Campbells, and he even worked as an on-call assistant to the chef of the Canadian Prime Minister. He is eager to impart his worldly knowledge unto aspiring chefs.
