Learn how to handcraft a variety of Persian recipes completely from scratch.

In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Karen will introduce you to the vibrant world of Persian cuisine. The colors, flavors and aromas sync up in harmony with grains, fruits, meats, herbs and spices in this inspiring menu.

Begin by crafting an appetizer of mirza ghassemi — eggplant dip with spices. For the main course, you'll make a traditional stew featuring chicken, figs and apricots as well as a Persian frittata packed to the brim with herbs and a rice dish with a perfectly crispy golden crust. Finish by baking an upside down orange turmeric cake.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

It was wonderful! Amazing how organized Chef Karen and Chef Ann were given the complexity of the meal. I learned so much and the meal was absolutely delicious…. one that I will feel comfortable preparing myself. Great chefs and what a dinner!

Lovely experience helping to put together all of the recipes. Amazing tips and tricks shared by the chefs were so helpful. Sharing a full portion of the meal after and talking about the cooking experience was so valuable. Would do again!
