Create iconic Bolognese pasta dishes and desserts with a local Italian chef in authentic Bolognese home.

Experience the heart of Emilia Romagna with a cooking class in Bologna led by a local home chef who brings generations of tradition to the table. Ideal for visitors seeking an immersive activity during their stay, this workshop highlights the dishes that define Bolognese cuisine and the techniques locals still use today.

You will learn how to mix, knead and roll fresh egg pasta before cutting long ribbons of tagliatelle to pair with a rich tomato sauce typical of the region. Next, shape delicate tortelloni pasta filled with ricotta and parsley, finished with butter and sage, a combination deeply rooted in Emilia Romagna’s culinary identity. You will also prepare a classic tiramisù dessert using mascarpone and cocoa while hearing stories about local food culture and the origins of these cherished recipes.

Learning the Italian Way of cooking pasta & dessert was an enjoyable part of our holiday. Our host was beautiful.
