I want to give this 10/5 stars! Christina took us into her lovely Athens home and treated us like family. By the end we had made the best spanakopita I've had in Greece, shared stories, and had an authentic Athenian experience. Christina is also a tour guide so she will have many recommendations and answers to your questions about the city. I cannot recommend this enough, seriously.

Oh my God! This was by far the most fun I have had in Athens. Christina taught my husband and I (and 3 others in our group) how to prepare authentic Greek phyllo dough from scratch in her kitchen. She will teach you to make the ubiquitous flaky Greek dough - starting with flour and water! - and together you will prepare a traditional pie. She will teach you, step by step, how to make the pie filling using seasonal ingredients like wild spinach and other greens and a variety of fresh cheeses (you might mix the filling in the sink since it is her biggest receptacle!). You mix the dough, learn to roll it into paper-thin sheets on her dining table, and layer the pie with the filling. She will show you how to carefully lay the delicate sheets of phyllo in the pan, which results in a light, crispy pie.

A truly original experience.
Coming from Italy, I value traditional cuisine and a welcoming culture. I couldn’t find a better experience than the one offered by Christina. A great host with deep knowledge of and passion for Greek cuisine, opens her house to share this ever lasting tradition of Greek phyllo with the world.

Christina was a gracious host, and wonderful culinary teacher who we had the pleasure of spending some time with on our trip to Greece. We made a delicious classic spinach pie together, phyllo and all, and she was kind enough to include cooking saganaki with us after we mentioned we were curious about making it. She also prepped some side dishes we could enjoy with the main dished which were very tasty as well. What I'll remember most is the welcoming environment she creates, and her thoughtful conversation, and her cat too :)

Christina was an amazing host! The lesson had all the steps with every detail on the technique. She was very friendly and answered to all the questions. I actually learned how to make spanakopita and put it to the test with the recipe she gave us. It came out really great!
loved the meal, the atmosphere, the jokes, the alcohol, everything!
Cheers, Christina!

Great experience! The hostess was very warm and made us feel welcome, like we were friends cooking together. The lesson was fun and we all participated in every step. I liked how we ensured the perfect crust for the phyllo, by slicing the pie for moisture to escape, but sprinkling the top with water as well. I will try it at home to impress my friends, especially Greeks who I don't think had a perfect spanakopita in a while. The meal Christina prepared was also beautiful. Overall highly recommended.

We had a great hands on experience! Before the class we though the delicate thin phyllo was something impossible to make. Christina was a great hostess, she tough us how to make a delicious spanakopita and we tasted a variety of small plates, they were all delicious. I highly recommend this cooking class, thank you Christina!!

One super valuable experience, cause under Christina's guidance we learnt and participated in opening "fullo" for greek pita, an art that will most probably vanish. Christina took care of us with good music, friends, and traditional treats such as dolmadakia, giouvetsi/spetzofai, an amazing anchovy mint salad, and many more. She also didnt miss to teach us traditions from all over Greece, pita related ofc. Thank you very much for your effort, it really made my day.

Fun and interesting cooking class. My friend and I had the opportunity to take a cooking class with Christina while in Athens and really enjoyed it! Christina was a wonderful host who welcomed us with greek coffee (and a little traditional fun future reading in the coffee) and then taught us how to make a traditional phyllo pastry pie with spinach and feta cheese! It was hands on and we both got to have a try in rolling out the pastry super thin! It was great to have someone so informative as Christina guiding us through it as we learned so much, not just about the pie baking, but greek traditions and history in general. She's so easy to be around and we had great conversations and many laughs. She had prepared a whole delicious meal while we were waiting for the pie to bake, which turned out absolutely delicious! (We had the leftovers for breakfast the next morning ;) ). It was a beautiful experience and we both can absolutely recommend Christina to anyone looking for a fun and interesting greek cooking experience! Thanks so much Christina, until next time! :)
