Learn all about the most popular dishes in Indian gastronomy and basics of this cuisine.

During this Indian cooking workshop with Chef Carlos, you'll explore all aspects of this wonderful and flavor-packed cuisine, ranging from the sweet and soft use of spices in certain dishes to the very complex mixing of flavors in others.

Begin by making samosas — potato-stuffed pastries spiced with turmeric and cumin. Then, you'll prepare a richly spiced chana masala — a chickpea and tomato curry-like dish — as well as creamy makhani butter chicken. For dessert, Chef Carlos will teach you how to make spiced rice porridge.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Carlos gave us a very enjoyable class. He was very interactive and provided a lot of detail including some history of the dishes. His down to earth style was not intimidating and actually made us feel very at ease while cooking. He checked every step with us to make sure things were progressing well on our end and even asked to see the items while cooking to ensure proper cooking times. We had great side conversations about Spain and the dishes we were cooking which made it all go by too fast. We are planing another round with Chef Carlos. Jefferson is especially looking forward to it.
