Chef Paul created a warm and friendly environment for us to learn some basic sushi making techniques. With his gentle guidance we were able to develop some new kitchen skills (knife skills, rolling sushi, and presentation). The food was delicious and my guest and I both enjoyed the evening tremendously.

Paul did a great job explaining how the food should be prepared and also why the food needs to be prepared in that manner. Highly recommend for anyone who would like to try Korean food! He was also very accommodating for allergies.

We had a wonderful evening at our private dinner sushi lesson with Chef Paul. He taught us all about the best quality of sushi rice and precise knife skills for properly preparing our ingredients for sushi rolls. As well as lots of chef tips for how to create neater rolls and of course the amazing chefs blow torch which was so much fun to use and made the sushi taste even better! This was a Christmas gift for my husband and it was truly a relaxing evening and an opportunity to enjoy learning and making the food in great company with such a patient and knowledgeable chef. We really enjoyed ourselves and each dish was delectible and more than we could finish so we ended up with a full fancy roll to take home plus one extra dessert. I don’t think you could get learn this much and focus so well in a larger class. I highly recommend the experience and you will leave with better sushi making skills plus recipes! Amazing for a date night and I’m sure the in house lesson for 5 + would also be a blast!

My partner loves Korean food and so I bought him this cooking experience with chef Paul for a Christmas gift. Suffice to say...he LOVED it just as much as I did. Chef Paul was so engaging and fun and very informative all along the way. Even new skills became easy and accessible through his direction. We got to make everything and share with another couple and it was so fun. Korean food is one of our favorite cuisines and being able to learn how to make some of the dishes we enjoy our was super fun. We would highly recommend taking a class with Paul either at his home kitchen (which was so warm and inviting) or have him come to your home. We are already thinking about hosting a party to show off our new skills. You will love this evening if you go!

Amazing and great experience Chef Paul took through each steps nicely and slowly so you understand how to do each step. The sushi rolling to appetizers prior to even making the maki rolls was great a tasty and to finish it off with the crowaffle was a great end. We purchased this as a Christmas gift for our 15 year old sushi-obsessed son and to celebrate a 45th birthday. Our group was made up of 5 people ranging in ages from 12 - 68 and everyone thought it was amazing. The night was filled with laughter and learning. Our son couldn't stop smiling and everyone left with filled bellies. Would highly recommend booking Chef Paul.

What a very memorable night for my wife and I. We were gifted by our daughter for our anniversary. Chef Paul was amazing. He made us at ease when we first came to his house. His pleasant demeanor and courteousness won us over. He was patient and very meticulous in his presentation. He caringly showed us cooking tips and gave us important trivia information. I brought my 14 year old granddaughter who likes to cook for a twosome lesson with Paul, It was a fun learning experience and the sushi rolls and dessert were delicious! Assembling the rolls is harder than it looks, if you are a serious sushi chef. Paul gives good guidance and tips. His home is slightly difficult to find so leave yourself time to locate it.

This cooking class was a birthday gift for my partner. We came from Vancouver to visit Calgary/Banff and included this amazing experience/gift into our itinerary. Chef Paul was amazing in explaining all the details of making sushi. He gave us a lot of great tips in preparing and eating sushi. He also was very open in adjusting the menu since I don't eat seafood/fish. 100% recommended! Thank you for having us.

For Mother's Day, my sons and I planned a delightful surprise for my wife by inviting Chef Paul to our home to provide us with a sushi-making class. It was an entirely new experience for us, one that Chef Paul made truly remarkable. His outgoing personality and friendly demeanour made the event even more enjoyable. Beyond his extensive culinary knowledge, he was incredible at engaging all four of us in the process. The entire experience was thoroughly entertaining, and we wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.

Although we showed up late, Chief Paul welcomed us with a smile, and was very understanding!! Very friendly, and made us feel very welcome!! Chef Paul welcomed us to his home and provided a great experience in making Korean Fried Chicken burger. He also went through some basic kitchen techniques that will help us in other areas of the kitchen. What was great was how accessible the ingredients were to create a great dish. Chef Paul was great! He graciously opened his home to my girlfriend and I for an evening of cool experiences, laughs and story telling. I would recommend this class for anyone looking to practice some knife skills or to learn how to roll a Kimbap. I recently attended Chef Paul's Korean cooking class, and I must say that it was an incredible experience. Chef Paul was not only an excellent instructor, but also a great host, making sure everyone felt comfortable and confident in the kitchen. His knowledge of Korean cuisine and cooking techniques was impressive, and he was able to share this knowledge in a way that was easy to understand and follow. The dishes we prepared were not only delicious, but also beautifully presented. Not only was he incredibly gracious, knowledgeable and professional, he welcomed us Into his home, made us laugh and made the entire experience so special for us. I fell in love with Korean food after traveling to Korea last month. These days, there are many Korean restaurants in Calgary, so I wanted to learn Korean food, after search, I found out about cooking class in Calgary, and I got to know chef Paul who is Korean. Also Chef Paul is managing a take out restaurant, so I think he knows more about trends of korean food than anyone else, and I learned a lot about Korean food in cooking class. I am so happy to think that I will call my friends in this week to cook the food that I learned after cooking class. If you are looking for a Korean chef in Calgary, I recommend chef Paul without hesitation.

We learned sushi happily through Chef Kang for the first time. we always went to the restaurant to eat sushi, but it was hard to find a delicious restaurant. Among them, the place where Koreans do it was delicious, so I decided to have a fun time because I thought it would be nice to learn sushi from a Korean chef. Especially, Chef Kang is from Culinary art, and he has various knowledge about cooking, so he explained it easily, especially since he currently runs a sushi restaurant, he knows about sushi better than anyone else and explained it easily to new learners. Now, we are going to make sushi in the kitchen, not in the restaurant with my wife, and invite my friends to dinner. Thank you again and I would like to apply again soon to learn more advanced courses, not beginner courses. I strongly recommend it to those who are interested in sushi.
