What You'll Do

Explore the role of fried ingredients in sushi and Asian cuisines with Chef Paul.

In this hands-on sushi-making class, Chef Paul will guide you as you prepare a variety of dishes featuring crunchy, fried elements. Learn how to balance textures from light and crisp to rich and soft.

Begin by deep frying tofu for an agedashi tofu starter with tempura sauce. Next, practice your sushi techniques while preparing a spicy salmon roll and a crunchy roll featuring fried shrimp and crispy tempura bits. Later, prepare a Korean street food favorite of rice cakes and sausages on a stick with spicy hot sauce and then finish the meal with a sweet mango roll.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

He is a talented sushi chef and master of Korean BBQ, with a flair for crafting dishes that are both traditional yet delightfully modern. Chef Paul currently runs his own restaurant, but has also worked as a restaurant manager and private chef. Now, he's eager to share his knowledge and skill with you.

We hired Chef Paul for a private Valentine’s Day dinner at home, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, he was professional, warm, and incredibly attentive to detail. Every course was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared - it's amazing how much he did in 2.5 hrs! What truly stood out was how seamless he made the entire evening feel. We were able to relax, chat, and fully experience the night (all while learning how to do something new for us). We made a variety of Japanese Sushi rolls. Chef Paul is very knowledgeable & a good instructor. We will certainly be making contact in the future for other opportunities to learn from his expertise.
