Cooking Class - Authentic Mole and Tacos

Explore the rich tapestry of Mexican cuisine by making homemade tortillas and mole sauce.

During this hands-on cooking experience, Chef Eduardo will take you on a gastronomic Mexican adventure, starting with the deep flavors of a black bean stew featuring tender porchetta and longaniza.

Then, learn how to make traditional mole sauce with a blend of tomatoes, tomatillos, onions and dried peppers. For a vegan delight, you’ll prepare fresh tortillas for tacos brimming with zucchini blossoms and juicy portobello mushrooms. Finish on a sweet note with soursop sorbet crowned with mango and caramelized peanuts.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Sophia and Alberto greeted us at the door of the townhouse where we had our cooking lesson, and immediately made us feel welcome. We toured the market where they had bought our produce earlier that day, and showed us all the grocery vendors and the little food stalls. Then we walked back to the townhouse and made tortillas, salsa, tacos, and guacamole. They were fantastic hosts and teachers, and we had a great time. They made us feel so at home, instead of a class the experience felt like having dinner at home with your fun friends.
