Mezcal flavors range from lemon, cucumber and wildflowers to pineapple, orange blossom and agave nectar. Work with ingredients like ancho, mulatto and pailla chilis as well as a wide array of herbs and spices to prepare and taste seven different varieties of mole sauce.

We booked this because we couldn't leave Oaxaca without tasting all the mezcales and all the moles on offer and this was certainly a great way to do that. The setting was stunning and the presentation was lovely as well. I thought the pairing worked great and despite the very high price for small tastes of each, it was worth the experience. My only regret is that I bought and was really looking forward to the mole almendrado, and thought I had clearly explained that we were only traveling with hand luggage, but it was rudely taken away from us at the airport in Mexico city despite assurances by our host that because of the packaging, it would be allowed in. Very disappointing!
