Mezcal Class - Savor Mezcal and Mole in Mexico City

Enjoy the stunning pairing of two of Mexico's quintessential creations.

In this interactive mezcal-tasting class, Host Daniel will showcase seven mezcals and seven mole sauces and teach you all about the magic that exists in each individual element.

Follow along as you learn how to discern different aromas and flavors in each mezcal, from lemon peel to watermelon and chia seeds to chamomile. Each mezcal will be paired with its own mole sauce that ranges from mole negro that's prepared with pepitas and raisins, and mole amarillo, which is made with a variety of chili peppers and tomatoes. Explore each tasting note with Host Daniel for a seven-course flight filled with flavor.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We booked this because we couldn't leave Oaxaca without tasting all the mezcales and all the moles on offer and this was certainly a great way to do that. The setting was stunning and the presentation was lovely as well. I thought the pairing worked great and despite the very high price for small tastes of each, it was worth the experience. My only regret is that I bought and was really looking forward to the mole almendrado, and thought I had clearly explained that we were only traveling with hand luggage, but it was rudely taken away from us at the airport in Mexico city despite assurances by our host that because of the packaging, it would be allowed in. Very disappointing!
