This class exceeded my expectations. I now know why some of the techniques used have fallen below standards, it's because I hadn't been shown or taught the appropriate method. This hands-on course gave me exactly what I needed. I absolutely plan to attend another class with Cozymeal to continue to improve my cooking skills.

Great class! It was slightly unorganized at the start, but I believe it was because it was the last class right before a major holiday. I learned more in this class than in the other cooking classes in general. Well done!

The class was excellent. Both in terms of how clear and easy to follow the instructions were, value for money and how well the recipes turned out.
Yes, I know that in this age and times, you have plenty of resources to learn anything, especially cooking, but nothing beats the experience of doing it by yourself, handling the ingredients, mixing up things and creating an Instagram worthy, restaurant quality masterpiece.
Chef Shameem (I hope I am not mixing up her name) was excellent with her clear instructions and also kept a watchful eye on everyone to make sure the fine line between a great creation and also-ran is not crossed. Overall experience: Great!

Chef Andrea was an excellent instructor. I especially appreciated that after she would display how to pleat the siu mai and har gow skin, she came around each table to give assistance to those who needed help. Also, qwhen the har gow flour didn't work out, she was prepared for plan B. Her helpers also helped make the class run smooth. The class was fun!!!

Chef Andrea and her team were amazing! We had so much fun! I would suggest a smaller class or bigger tables. We were fortunate to have 2 at our table. The tabels who had 4 people, had 2 cutting boards, and shared ingredients. I would have been disappointed. Over all we had a great experience.

TUSCAN TO SHARE - DATE NIGHT
well let me start by saying she was very nice.
we felt she was totally unorganized. it appeared she had never made this meal before. she was reading the recipe.
she had everyone doing different things it was impossible to follow along.
from the start there was issues with missing ingredients not being at the workstation.
we also never got the desert. she had forgotten. she offered us a scoop of ice cream.
I really wanted to make this special for my wife. it was my gift to her for Mother's Day
we have done a couple of cooking classes at other locations. this was by far the most disappointing.

Elegant Ramen Feast

Ramen.
My friend and I had a fun evening and liked the Ramen recipe, but the class felt very chaotic and stressful. I have been to MANY cooking classes and this one was the most chaotic and unorganized one I’ve attended. I felt sorry for chef Andrea. She was nice. She was flustered, seemed stressed and not familiar with the recipe, didn’t know how to work the instant pot so had to pivot the recipe which I think affected the outcome. Her assistants were not helpful at all. Pam (assistant) was a real “downer”, slow, morose, unhelpful to the chef, wore a dirty looking Fanny pack the entire class and had stray hairs all over her black sweater while around our food. Chef Andrea had to ask her to do everything. She was never proactive. She also never smiled even once (Pam) and seriously brought the whole vibe down. The young male assistant was slightly more helpful but still not friendly or professional. I was actually quite shocked that they wouldn’t have a more professional cooking class. Maybe because I’ve been to so many cooking classes I have a higher expectation, but for the price I expected more. I left feeling tense, but also enjoyed it too….which kind of contradicts, I know. I think it was mostly enjoyable because of who I was with, and we were paired with. That’s what made it enjoyable.

We cooked Ramen in Palo Alto William Sonoma store with Chef Michael. I was a part of Adam's group of 10. The noodles were not edible but the broth and pork were delicious. Due to the rubbery noodles, there was mention of receiving a refund but we have not heard back yet. Thank you.

Paris in Winter - Date Night
with Chef Andrea
in South Bay & Peninsula (Palo Alto)
this class wasnt what we expected… to start off, we had a resident chef, but we thought it would be chef andrea. it’s not too hands on as the resident chef would pick out one person to do a task while the rest of the group watched. we thought we would be in small pairs at our own stations actually making the meal. on top of that, the resident chef forgot one guy was cooking the steaks and didnt give him any directions as to when they should be done. so they were burnt and almost well done. overall, very disappointing experience.

A sub chef at last minute. No teaching necessarily but just follow the process. Not good. Kitchen was overcrowded with people without stove. We were paired with strangers and not enough things for people to work on. We didn’t even end up having a piece of ribs for ourselves at all! Very much below expectations.

Seasonal Summer Specialties

I would say that the description of the event were not clear. It did not mention that we would be divided into teams and wouldn’t get to do all the steps ourselves to learn better. The experience could have been better. Most of the steps were done by the chef and the rest had to be divided among 4-5 people. I have attended cooking classes before, and we get to do all steps ourselves which helps grasp and learn better.
Other than that, chef Andrea was sweet. She answered everyone’s questions and was also open to teaching knife skills to some that were new.

As other reviews have said, it's chaotic with a full class of 16. The instructions were unclear sometimes; it seemed like the chef was doing the recipes for the first time and reading from the printout. We still haven't received the recipes - apparently if you register through Cozymeal, the recipes are either delayed (so far) or never sent (if we don't get them soon). I asked the chef, and she said that if you register through Cozymeal, it takes another day or two, but we still haven't seen 'em.

Honestly this shouldnt be promoted, charging customers a Chef pricing but giving us someone completely different. What's the point of selling your profile if you are not available? The group is also larger than 16 people. Big crowd in a small kitchen. Not recommended at all.

This was a fun and wonderful class. The recipes were delicious . Chef Chris was a true professional chef. She gave little inside tips, was very good at explaining the recipes. I would take another class with Chef Chris!

Chef Tanya and Jake, the cooking instructors, were terrific! They not only shared valuable tips for cooking but also for prepping and cleaning the station. I was thrilled with the class and can't wait to sign up for another one. If you're interested, book your spot on a Saturday or Sunday.
Delia
What a great class. From the beginning with regard to explaining the different variations that we were going to make. Guiding us in the preparing of the ingredients and working with us in the cooking of the ingredients and how it all comes together . The end result the best getting to eat what we made. Delicious.
Ready to register for my next class. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Mallory
