What You’ll Do

Master no fewer than four gluten-free rolls in this immersive sushi making session.

If you want to offer a gluten-free taste of Japan to your gluten-free guests, this cooking class is your chance to learn how. In it, a renowned chef will show you how to master the traditional techniques required to recreate your favorite sushi at home.

You’ll roll no fewer than four unique recipes, including a classic kappa maki cucumber roll and a teka maki tuna roll — both with the perfect rice base and seaweed. You’ll also whip up a rainbow roll with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, crab stick, avocado and cucumber, plus a shrimp tempura roll with avocado, cucumber, seaweed, sushi sauce and spicy mayo. We Cooked lettuce wraps, orange chicken with delicious fried rice and finished with the best mango sorbet we’ve ever tried and we had a BLAST while doing it!! Chef Rickey really knew what he was talking about, and helped us learn so much!!

Chef Ricky was outstanding. His home was warm and inviting. He taught us so much about the chemistry of food, this history of his life and career as a chef, and fun facts. My husband and I will be back again for another class.

My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary with Chef Ricky’s Sushi Omakase class, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience. Ricky is knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel very comfortable while providing an educational experience that exceeded our expectations. One of our favorite aspects of the class is that all of the dishes we prepared were very accessible, all things we could make at home.
