What You’ll Do

A 3-day journey around the world for teens intrigued by global culinary cultures.

Your young gourmets are in for a world of delicious discovery with this 3-day cooking series exploring the baking practices around the world! These teen-friendly summer cooking classes are designed to help aspiring chefs sharpen their safety skills while developing a sense of confidence and capability in the kitchen. Their expert instructor will lead them through intriguing courses in international cuisine, sessions covering Hawaiian fare, prime pasta dishes and Latin American favorites. Students end their series with a printed menu featuring their creations and a graduation certificate to take home.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Meet your chef


Chef Michael emigrated to the U.S. from Romania with his family at the age of seven. He followed his family's culinary interests and found joy in the kitchen, with his grandmother and his parents leading the way. After working in various restaurants through high school and beyond, he developed a taste for finer cuisine. His resume grew to include event catering as well as teaching cooking classes, for which Chef Michael holds an abiding passion.
