What You’ll Do

This hands-on class will teach you how to create the perfect comforting pho dish.

In this cooking class, Chef Michelle will teach you to make four Asian-inspired dishes full of flavor and fresh ingredients. For the main dish, you'll learn how to make authentic Vietnamese pho from scratch.

First, make a peanut dressing to accompany your Asian Salad, then handcraft a shrimp toast with duck sauce. Next, choose between beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetable pho and prepare this dish with herbs, bean sprouts and hoisin sauce. Finally, make a beloved street food snack from Vietnam for dessert: Pandan waffles with berry sauce.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Michelle and Chef Christmas did a wonderful job hosting us! They helped to accommodate for our peanut allergy, and tariff is in a way where it was quick and easy to make each course. The salad was fantastic with the candied pecans, and the strawberry vinaigrette was a good sub in for the peanut sauce. The shrimp toast and duck sauce were a great appetiser, and the pandan waffles with berries and ice cream was a great finisher! The main pho itself held a spicy, flavourful beef broth, and the cuts of beef were really thick yet tender. Our only minor gripe was that we wished we cooked the noodle longer since the texture felt a bit stiff. Fun time overall, perfect for a date night!
